Antique Optometrist Refraction Set in Box
A cool gift for an optometrist and especially one from Kansas City. This 1910's cased refraction set is made by Columbian Optical Company in Kansas City, Mo. and includes the refraction testing glasses, a Geneva Lens measure device with patent dates of 1902 and 1915 with directions as well as two unknown tools. The wooden edged refraction set lifts out to reveal more of the burgundy velvet box and more tools.
Size: The box is 21 1/4" wide, 12 3/8" d, 4 1/4" high. When displayed the cover opens to 15" tall
Condition: The velvet inside the box is in excellent condition for its age. The leather covering to the outside of box has disintegrated and is mostly non-existent. Maybe 1-2 lenses are missing although there are extras underneath. The lenses also may not be organized correctly.
